I have always had an avid interest for what is going on in the world. That started when I was very young, and it does not really matter what it is regarding, but I have always followed the political climate globally.

The level of man’s consciousness has increased rapidly during my lifetime, what was considered as being the norm and the values of the individual have changed drastically. As we look at the world today we see that mankind will no longer accept the status quo as dictated by the powers that be. We now live in a world where values and old mind-sets are constantly being challenged; the individual is no longer ready to be controlled by the minority.

We just have to look at what has been happening in the Middle East, where there was once an established order there is now ensuing chaos. This wind of change seems to be having a global effect. We see in this world a great deal of conflict and a difference of opinions.  I firmly believe that before a new order can be achieved there must be chaos, because chaos if handled in an emotionally intelligent way brings about a new kind of creativity that serves the people that will take them into the future. I for one am interested to see what transpires.

Within this established order of today exists much paranoia, the old order is clinging desperately to old ideas, because of fear of losing their powerbase. This brings back to mind something a sceptic once said of me: “I see Terry Evans as the head of the snake, if I destroy the head of that snake everything else will collapse.” That could be the case, but what they do not realize is that others will step forward.

I have worked with mediumship consciously since the age of 22, and periodically I have had to amend my truth too, but that has only served to make my belief stronger. One thing I am certain of is that the hardest thing for any individual is to tell themselves the truth about themselves, about their behaviour, their projection onto others. But if we are not in touch with ourselves ultimately what we send out will return and become harmful for us. That is a universal law, or basic psychology – one could call it cause and effect.

What is your truth? Are you strong and brave enough for self-examination or do you project your unresolved issues onto others in the name of truth in order to promote your own status, or to hang on to an old way of being that no longer serves you or others?

The biggest truth that we must discover lies within ourselves. By having an inner dialogue we can attend to the negative aspects within that no longer serve us. Could this help evolution? Evolution is an on-going process, no human being or body of people can turn the tide of that, whatever their tactics or projections. They will just be left behind in the mire of ignorance, and in so doing their power base will disintegrate beneath their feet.

Our truth cannot be destroyed by the hands of others; we destroy it ourselves, because our greatest enemy is ourselves. I believe it is about time we become much more conscious about ourselves. My greatest friend and ally is the truth; to tell the truth about myself and do something about it as opposed to staying in denial and projecting my negativity on to others. Negativity that is denied can become an aggressive and destructive force within. This world of ours has seen many empires rise and fall, and people in high places collapse within the ruins of ego, without learning the lessons being offered.

Do I practice what I write about? I do my best every day. So I spend a little time everyday sitting for a while going to meet myself, without analysing, just listening to my feelings. Very often this helps me drag myself out of the mire of ego and ignorance, because each feeling within bears a message – if I am ready to listen! It is better to go with the wind than to cling on to something that will take you nowhere.

Nobody can be exempt from what I have written above. This universal law applies to everybody that inhabits this earth.

Terry Evans interest in parapsychology and mediumship began at an early age. His first encounter with an actual spiritualist medium came at the age of 22, when he was given his first private consultation by a medium. The effects of that experience were to prove to be a turning point in his life, offering new realisations. These realisations motivated Terry to develop his own inner potential of mediumship and intuition.
