Many of my students I teach lead busy lives, and it is the same for me. Some have children and fulltime jobs. We become so absorbed with our busy lifestyle that we forget to give time to ourselves. When that happens for my students, and they feel they do not have time to give themselves or spirit, they feel as if spirit has deserted them, but of course that is not the case.

To continue to have contact it can be quite simple. It is actually enough to give yourself 15-20 minutes in one day. If I am having a really busy day, I will at least sit quietly for 10 minutes and say to spirit: I am very busy, but I do not want to lose the connection we have developed so far. In so doing I am still reconnecting and acknowledging the presence of spirit, which I think is very important. It gives me and my guide some intimate time together were we share and bond. It is like any relationship, once you cease to have those intimate moments you will glide apart. A relationship needs to be nourished.

There are some days when there simply is no time. I remember once many years ago, I had not reconnected with spirit in 3-4 months. One day Ascala came to me and said:
– Have you forgotten us?
– I have been really busy, I answered.
– Yes, but if you just acknowledge us by sitting with us for a little while, it will help us see you better and, in those moments, we give nourishment to one another. That also gives us an opportunity to establish a link between your consciousness and ours. It keeps the mind open and you continue to be receptive.

“It is important to meet the feelings and accept them, then they do not have the same power to control you.

It is not about analysing, it is just about letting it be, it enables that bond to still exist and work for both parties – your guide and yourself. It can also be a time to just sit with your feelings and the pictures they bring for you. When you give yourself these minutes in silence it is also a great opportunity to meet with your feelings and reconnecting with them. Feelings are messengers from the soul. It is very important for someone who is working with spirit every day to reconnect with yourself and how you feel. It is also important for our own wellbeing.

For me, also working as a teacher, I find it rejuvenates me, and gives me amazing energy. That is also what I pass on to my students, to be responsible and manage your time. That is a vital discipline. A lot of people do not know how to manage time. They do not realise is it can cause a lot of chaos for other people.

Feelings are very powerful. It is important to meet the feelings and accept them, then they do not have the same power to control you. You start controlling them and learn to listen to the message that they bring.

In all my courses I talk about the importance of meeting your feelings and accepting them, in so doing they do not have the power they have sometimes. Feelings can either create or destroy. Keep in touch with them.

Terry Evans interest in parapsychology and mediumship began at an early age. His first encounter with an actual spiritualist medium came at the age of 22, when he was given his first private consultation by a medium. The effects of that experience were to prove to be a turning point in his life, offering new realisations. These realisations motivated Terry to develop his own inner potential of mediumship and intuition.
