There are countless people I meet that believe in the spirit world, some because they themselves have had psychic experiences ever since they were a child, others just love to go to a medium to hear what the spirit world is going to say about them, their life or their future. My grandmother for instance, every time she went on holiday she loved to go to the fortune teller. Then there are others who like to go and have a tarot card reading and there are those who really enjoy going to a spiritual healer.
There are those that we invite to the special evenings we have to give our students the opportunity to practice what they are learning. Some simply come out of pure curiosity. There are also people that believe, but do not dare speak about their beliefs. They are afraid of what other people might say about them because they believe in something different. I ask myself: Why are there so many people who do not dare to talk about their beliefs in relation to mediums and the spirit world.
If you are a Christian it is okay to say: Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ. That is acceptable and it is the same if you are a Muslim or a Buddhist etcetera. It is funny, when you use the word religion that is okay, because that falls within a certain category that is globally seen as acceptable. Should you believe in the spirit world or similar things it generally speaking falls in to the category of “New Age”, which according to me also is an outmoded expression that no longer describes what it really represents. However, there are many people within this group who have found their own way to express what it means to them through different kinds of therapies, healing methods and ways of connecting with a higher intelligence.
“Well, you should see how people react to me when I tell them I am a medium. Some of them look at me as if I come from another planet.”
I have gone to different events, lectures and educations with people who are practicing their truth and showing their skills. They dare show their inner light. Many of these people have come under fire for their beliefs, they have been criticized or humiliated, but these are people that have stepped out of their corner and walk their talk. Those who step out and practice their beliefs in this manner are part of what I call “a new order”. They are doing fine work that will help us build a bridge to the future, they are making their contribution to the evolutionary process.
Behind each person who believes there are at least ten more who also believe, but are afraid to step out, for many different reasons. I know what it is like to be criticized in the extreme, because I have myself stepped out of the box and said: “I believe in this”. I am glad I did, because in making that decision I was able to create a place for myself where I could believe in my way, a way that was natural for me.
A few years ago I met a man who comes from another country. He told me, after having lived in Sweden for many years that he still struggled with his integration. I am also a foreigner in this country and I was invited to come here to work. I accepted the invitation and it was one of the best decisions of my life, but his experience reminded me of how it can be for me, so I said to him: “Well, you should see how people react to me when I tell them I am a medium. Some of them look at me as if I come from another planet.”
My message to you who have a belief that does not fall within the framework that is acceptable, take the risk, come out! There are many people there waiting to greet you with open arms. They are intelligent people that come from every walk of life. They have found their life’s purpose and in so doing have found freedom, freedom of expression. When you take that step the hand of the higher intelligence also comes forward to greet you.
There is no need to be afraid, just live your life and tell your truth
