I remember when I started to learn to drive, I passed my driving test on the first attempt. What a feeling of freedom – I am free! I can drive anywhere I want to. The interesting thing was, as I started driving and gained experience, I realised that there were so many more things that I needed to learn. I needed more experience. I had a few mishaps, but then I began to realise that this was just the beginning. With time I became a more experienced driver, much more aware of the dos and the don’ts.
Where am I going with this? I am thinking about all the people that have come to me on courses, when I hand them a diploma it says: “Yes, I believe that you have the tools to become much more responsible”, but there have been those that actually start to believe that they can do everything with that diploma in their hand. Sadly I have seen a few of the fall by the wayside, because they were in a hurry. They were not ready and they forgot that there is a team working with them to support them.
I remember a person who came to a course for five days, a so called smorgasbord-course. After these five days, this person went out and advertised themselves as a medium. In their eagerness they started to make mistakes and doing things to please people as a medium. People who are in a hurry normally hit the wall or things catch up with them sooner or later.
“Of course it can be a disappointment when you cannot supply what the client wants to hear.
When I work for spirit I recognise that I am connected to a much higher intelligence, the universal intelligence, which for me is one and the same. As I look back on my own mediumship I can remember the mistakes I made and I can also recognise why – because I was too enthusiastic. With every mistake I have made I have also had to acknowledge it, otherwise I would have ended up in the same place again.
Of course it can be a disappointment when you cannot supply what the client wants to hear. In looking back on to the good and not so good experiences I can see that it has broaden my experience on how to work with people and to be aware of the pitfalls that we can fall into when we are in a hurry.
I have said this before and I will say it again, I have seen so many people hit the wall, because they have been in a hurry. So whatever education you have, use those tools, because combined with patience and tolerance you will learn to be a better channel and a better communicator. In our early days we want acknowledgement, to be seen for what we can do, but be patient and take your time. Do not forget that spirit and your team walk with you!
Perhaps my words have shown you aspects of yourself that you need you work with? That is what I have to do every day.
