I often work alongside people that have other skills and knowledge than I have. These people come from different backgrounds, however, what they have in common is the purpose of their work; to make a contribution to humanity and well-being. Another purpose of the work they do and the teaching they give, is to help individuals open new doors and achieve a higher level of consciousness. In so doing, they also help others achieve a higher level of mental and physical well-being.

Some of the people who I work with I have known for many years, others for a shorter period of time. I find it fascinating what effect it has on my physical and spiritual way of being, when I am with them. I find it amazing to be part of such a creative dynamic. Over the years this have helped me achieve different levels, one could say helped me reach enlightenment.

In my work as a medium and teacher I can very often find myself in isolation. I do not have a point of reference that can give me feedback about where I am and what I am doing. To be part of a team can give you a sense of belonging, and it is also good to use the group members as a point of reference and say: “What do you think about this?” When I work in a team, every member of that team becomes my teacher. They offer new perspectives just by being who they are and by the way they work. In order to get a new view of the world and where people are it is good to come out of isolation sometimes.

“When I first started off working as a medium people said that I was a loner.

It is not just thoughts that inspire me, it is the feeling that team dynamics can give. Sometimes they challenge my concept, but it is very inspiring to work with people who have different ideas or views to those of your own.

When I first started off working as a medium people said that I was a loner. In one respect yes, I want to enjoy my work and be creative in what I do, want to meet new things that I do not have the answers to. But, working with a team can certainly be a very useful mind opener and help you find new tools and skills. One does not fall in to the trap of continuing in ways that are not useful any longer.

In a team everybody has their own individual skill and view of the world that we live in. We learn to live and function together, enabling us to contribute our individual skills to our shared ventures. At the same time, we also to learn to recognize other people’s skills and what they have to offer.

That is my view on being part of a team. What are your thoughts? Can we be successful on our own?

Terry Evans interest in parapsychology and mediumship began at an early age. His first encounter with an actual spiritualist medium came at the age of 22, when he was given his first private consultation by a medium. The effects of that experience were to prove to be a turning point in his life, offering new realisations. These realisations motivated Terry to develop his own inner potential of mediumship and intuition.
