A new week is here, I am wondering what is in the offing? Viktoria and I are doing a lot of work preparing things for our holiday period.
I had a great time in the garden this past weekend. It was a lot of fixing and putting things into order. The garden received some well-deserved love. I was busy doing this most Saturday and Sunday. I really appreciated the peace and seeing how much the garden has grown the past week. There was no stress, I just allowed myself to do whatever was needed. Because I did not stress myself I saw things that I had not been aware of before. It was amazing, it was like the garden opened up to me and started talking. It welcomed me with open arms and showed me its soul.
What really amused me was that one of my wife’s hens decided to adopt me and followed me around everywhere. It was as if she was saying: I am moving in with you now. As I was cooking there was something brushing up against my leg. I thought it was the cat, but it was the chicken. The man who used to own her before would carry her around the house, so I think she misses male company.
This was one of the most relaxing weekends I have had in a long time. How often are we governed by schedules that completely take us over? I realised that stress sometimes limits our perception. We miss out on so much. When I stepped back and let go of the stress everything opened up for me. This was a really lovely weekend. A great way to charge my batteries for a busy week.
