Most people have their own way of believing in God or a higher power etcetera, and some say they do not believe in anything. I remember how I believed and perceived spirit when I started working as a medium. Over the years my belief system has changed considerably. The experience that really opened my mind was the research in China. I do not believe I am as rigid and stubborn anymore. I have realised that we from time to time should open new doors and to be fed with new stimulus and ideas.
My belief system was, to begin with, like a very small room, but how I perceive life and spirit now is like a house that has many different rooms. By being flexible and allowing my belief to grow I have become much more conscious of things than I could ever have believed possible. It has also given me much access to other dimensions that I before did not believe existed. Spirit, or the higher intelligence, has so many different faces and each face has something unique to offer.
Every time my belief system changes it gives me a sense of peace and freedom. It gives me strength and makes me enthusiastic; I have the feeling to pioneer even more.
If we are rigid in our belief it can be a grave impediment for us. There is so much aggression and conflict because of inflexible belief systems, but I hope that I am moving away from that attitude. Sometimes it is not all that easy, but I am feeling much happier every time I realise something about myself that is a hindrance for me.
When I meditate, I sometimes receive keys that make me realise that I am soon about to experience new things about myself. This is of course a process and it may take me time to realise what it is I have to look at, but I can feel enthusiastic and curious to see what I will discover about myself. Because I know it can help me move on and simultaneously update my belief system.
For me this is the right road to walk, because what I meet, I can be much more open minded about.
