I have seen many situations in my life where individuals come into conflict with one another, because both parties get stuck in the “I am right and you are wrong” syndrome. I see this everywhere, often in the medium’s and healer’s world. We who work with spirit, why do we get stuck in these mind-sets? Why do we take ourselves into that arena of conflict? I have also been in that kind of conflict, but the fact is, at the end of the day there are no winners or losers.

If we open up this concept even more, we can see it around us every day, in politics and warfare, in everyday life it surrounds us. Yes, of course there are situations where one must stand your ground. I myself have been the victim of skeptics and critics. Many mediums and healers have been part of that arena too, and yet, they have not even met me. They have been brainwashed by what other people have had to say about me.

When we go into the “I am right and you are wrong” syndrome we get lost and our spiritual connections seem to have stepped back from us, but that is not the case, they simply cannot get through to us because we have shut off in our need to be right.

There are mediums and healers that do not work in my way at all, but that does not mean to say they are wrong. Just because people think or work in a different way to me, surely it does not mean that I need to criticize them? I just need to accept that this is the way they are working and are giving from themselves. But, sure, I can still have the attitude “I am right and you are wrong”, but today I can recognise it much sooner. Instead I can think: How can I solve this? What is it I need to change within me?

As long as a person’s truth is based on who they really are and what they feel that is all right – as long as their feelings do not cross over into negative where they are trying to prove that they are right and that their truth is the only one. We see that between religions, the in fight that seemingly goes on within Gods house, people that say they believe in a God, and go into conflict with one another, just because of different philosophies or beliefs… When is humanity going to realise that aggression and anger never solve anything?

Where there is an open heart compromise can be made and a solution can be found, where two parties meet half way. But for that it takes courage to place aside a negative mind-set. That is what Ascala, my spiritual guide and mentor, is teaching me and each time I realise that my stubborn nature is preventing me from developing a better relationship with him the connection I have with him gets better.

So where are you in these things that I talk about? Have you criticized another medium, healer or the alike? In so doing has it allowed you to fall into becoming part of a mob that has criticized or tried to destroy somebody else? Are you stuck in who is right or wrong? Do you have the tools within to go from the negative to cross the bridge and go into positive? What I am talking about is a situation that human beings often find themselves in, including myself. However, I am still learning how to handle all of these things. It is not always easy. It is about learning to tell yourself the truth and it is something that will be with me for the rest of my life.

True love does not demand its own way, it should be open enough to take a person out of conflict and into solution.

Terry Evans interest in parapsychology and mediumship began at an early age. His first encounter with an actual spiritualist medium came at the age of 22, when he was given his first private consultation by a medium. The effects of that experience were to prove to be a turning point in his life, offering new realisations. These realisations motivated Terry to develop his own inner potential of mediumship and intuition.
