I have talked about the importance of daring to take risks many times. A lot of people are afraid of taking risks because it takes them into an unknown place where they cannot control what is happening. They just remain stuck in a safe place where they are not happy, with this empty feeling inside. They never seem to find fulfilment.
If I had not taken risks and dared to trust, to go into a no-man’s-land, I would not have found my gold. That inner potential would have been hidden from me if I did not want to dare to believe it was there, if I had been afraid of failure and criticism. We all have a master within; our soul. Let that help you, without demanding how everything should be and how it should work out.
We are all responsible for listening to our soul’s intelligence, to let it lead us into the unknown and to have patience to see it through, one day at a time. When we take this step there is a lot of fear and anxiety: Will it work? But when that takes over, we just get stuck in an emotional mindset.
I can see the value of the risks I have taken and value the times when I have made mistakes. I know I will get criticised because of my beliefs. I have also had to meet extreme jealousy from others. Of course, that has not been nice, but it is human nature.
In my years of teaching I have met numerous people, who have not known who they were or what they were capable of. But as they dared to take the next step, they began to discover who they really were and what was preventing them from moving on. The amazing thing, which gave me joy on many occasions, was when they began to connect with their true identity, their natural purpose in this incarnation. I have witnessed many of them going on to doing new and positive things with their lives.
Of course, I still meet these little demons that are trying to prevent my progress. I just have to allow them in and admit their existence and that will take away their power.
Because of the Covid-19 we have time to reflect and maybe meet ourselves with an open mind and a new attitude that the demands of life have not allowed us to do before. Whatever the outcome of this virus, one thing I am almost certain of, life will never be the same again. The message to us is it is time we changed. This is a bridge that many of us will have to cross, but I do not think everyone will want to cross it. Some will just want to stay in their comfort zone and for things to remain the same. This is normal. We cannot all be the same or think alike.
However, when you take a risk, make it a sensible one. Listen to the voice of your soul, it will guide you in the direction that is meant for you. When we look within, at our feelings, it will help us achieve purpose.
