I am often asked questions about the future: What will I become? What is going to happen? Will I meet someone?  When we think of the future we also have to think about where we are at that moment in time. We also have to be responsible for creating the change we wish for. When we do not take initiative, it is like we are standing at a crossroads within our mind, where nothing ever happens until we take a chance to activate our potential. We all have some kind of purpose in life, but we get trapped in doing things for the status or to have an income. Spirit do try to guide us forward and inspire us to make a journey into ourselves, but we ourselves have to act and make decisions.

On the courses I have had throughout the years I have taken the students on a journey towards their potential. It is about learning by doing, but most people unfortunately just wish to be fed and told what to do. They do not realise they have to work on themselves and that it will take time. One thing I have realised over the years is that people need to reach self-awareness to activate what they are meant to be or do in this life.

Every question we ask there is always an answer within the archives of our minds. When I have explored this myself, I have begun to connect with who I really am and what I am meant to do. I have been met with criticism during my journey, and here have been many challenges that I have wanted to say no to, but I have done it anyway and it has made my journey through life very interesting.

Without taking risks in our lives and daring, we will never know how much we know or what ability we have. The key to success lies within ourselves. Other people can give us guidance, but ultimately our questions will only be answered because of self-realisation.

In my own journey to self-discovery there have been both highs and lows, just like it should be. We can become addicted to the highs, but if that was life all the time what would we learn? We have to make the effort and give things time. There are many twists and turns on our road through life, but we can in many respects determine our future and what it is going to be like.

I have been to very good therapists etcetera. That have helped me discover and understand things better. Sometimes I have had to accept that I also had a part in things from the past. Carrying a heavy burden from the past can keep us prisoner and prevent us from moving on in life. The work I have done with myself has given me a pretty solid base in life.

People think that spirit answers all my questions, but they do not. We all have to be in a no-man’s-land from time to time, to allow a new way of thinking or feeling. Reaching a new realisation can be very liberating.

Instead of expecting someone else to give you all the answers, turn to someone who can teach you techniques to learn to take better care of yourself. Challenges can take us to amazing places within, sometimes to places where we have to be honest with ourselves.

The journey through life there can be pot holes but there can also be great surprises. Both are equally important. Within you there is a pot of gold. With patience an answer will come, but you have to be ready to listen.

If life was a straight line we would be bored and what would be the point with life?

Terry Evans interest in parapsychology and mediumship began at an early age. His first encounter with an actual spiritualist medium came at the age of 22, when he was given his first private consultation by a medium. The effects of that experience were to prove to be a turning point in his life, offering new realisations. These realisations motivated Terry to develop his own inner potential of mediumship and intuition.
